NEW YORK – Importer and distributor has partnered with B2B payment company Credit Key on a new credit program that provides its retailer customers with up to $50,000 in financing.
“Our goal in offering the program is to help our customers keep their floors fresh and exciting during challenging times,” said Michael Rosilio, Meridian president. “Credit Key offers a unique approach to pay-over-time solutions with flexibility in terms and no hard credit pull.”
Retail customers will apply digitally and hear back virtually in real-time if they’re approved. If they pay within the first 30 days, they’ll pay no interest. If they want to extend their terms, they can up do so up to 12 months, starting at 1% interest per month.
“Smaller independent retailers often see a ton of value in our solution,” said Sarah Senne, Credit Key’s director of marketing. “The key is that we handle everything, so our partners don’t have to deal with risk or collections, and the customers get to choose their terms. This enables small businesses to better manage their cash flow, place larger order sizes and increase their order frequency, all of which can lead to business growth for retailers and designers.”
Meridian says its 24-hour quick-ship program, combined with the credit program, provides an “ideal solution for customers who want to keep their showrooms stocked with the latest collections.”
Meridian offers more than 9,500 SKUs across all major home furniture categories. It says it is 90% in-stock all the time, with goods shipping in 24 hours from its 400,000-square-foot New Jersey warehouse. It says it offers a robust container program, as well as drop-shipping options, which include curbside and white-glove services.
