Light-toned woods shine in spring product introductions

June 6, 2024

Light-toned woods such as birch, maple, ash and white oak, sometimes called blonde woods, are now appearing more often in tables, benches, mirrors and ottomans. These fair-hued finishes are also adding an aura of lightness to the pieces.

The Westwood Coffee table, part of Varaluz’s new Conrad Blair collection, is made of ash blond and toasted oak on oak veneers.
From Bassett Mirror, the new Horizons server is made from cerused white oak with brushed nickel edge pulls.
The new Diza Round Whitewash mirror from Currey & Company has a profile that is interesting from both the front and the side.
The Phillips Collection’s new Branch Waterfall console table is crafted from chamcha wood with a bleached finish.
