“Color is back and we love it,” Laura Fox, founder of , posted to her website.

“Here are some fun ways to spruce up your home while you are stuck inside,” she said.

When transforming a space, her biggest tip is to “think outside the box.”

To accomplish this, Fox suggests focusing on one particular – and usually overlooked – area.

“Paint your cabinets, not the walls,” she said.

“Don’t be afraid to go dark,” she said.

Another way to show off your style is with some stripes.

“Go further than the walls and change up the mood of a room by adding an accent-colored furniture piece,” she said.
