HIGH POINT — A new 22,000-square-foot showroom is debuting this October in High Point, doubling an upholstery manufacturer’s space and allowing the company to offer an “enhanced buyer experience,” according to officials.
(DRG), parent company of Décor-Rest Furniture and SuperStyle, will open its new showroom at 212 Jacobs Place for as the company’s premier showroom and will also continue to utilize Furniture Plaza (FP 510) for select product. The company also owns 208 Jacobs Place, where they have participated in the for 30 years.
“This is a strategic move for us, creating an opportunity to showcase more product, providing a cohesive merchandising plan,” said Angelo Marzilli Jr., president. “We can now bring all our brands together under one roof: Décor-Rest Furniture, SuperStyle and Trendline. Our expanded space will provide the opportunity to display many more new product introductions, plus allow us to continue to highlight our best-selling collections.”
The company is in the process of renovating and upfitting the building. The new space will also provide additional parking for Décor-Rest dealers.
“This showroom will provide a unique experience for dealers,” Marzilli said. “Our visual presentation will be both innovative and educational, showcasing our product and telling the Décor-Rest Furniture story. As a North American producer, Décor-Rest provides a true economic value: Our dealers receive a superior product without the duties, fees, and additional costs of other manufacturers.”
Décor-Rest Furniture was founded in 1972 and is a family-owned company based in Ontario, with warehousing locations in Canada as well as the United States.
“Décor-Rest has been a part of High Point Market for many years, and we are excited to showcase our story in our new home,” Marzilli said. “Our new location is literally next door to our previous home, making the transition easier for our dedicated customers as well as more convenient for new dealers and designers.”
An official showroom opening with ribbon cutting is planned for 10 a.m., Oct. 25. Additionally, DRG will host a celebration of the new location that same day from 5-7 p.m. with entertainment and refreshments.
